Tenets of Faith
- Theology
- There is One God manifested as Father in creation, Son in redemption, Holy Ghost in regeneration.
- The Bible standard of full salvation is repentance, baptism in water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
- Jesus Christ is coming again the second time in person just as He went away.
- The catching away of the church is yet in the future.
- Christian Living
- Separation from the world as stated in 2 Corinthians 6:17 (KJV): "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you."
- Because most of what is offered on television is unsuitable for a Christian, the use of television for any purpose is unacceptable. We also stand against the use of any present or future technology for the purpose of obtaining Hollywood-type entertainment, pornography or any other spiritually degrading content.
- Modesty in the areas of apparel, hairstyles, conversation, etc.
- Deuteronomy 22:5 (KJV): The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
- The Biblical admonition for men to have short hair and women to have long uncut hair. (1 Corinthians 11:1-16)
- Acceptance of the Biblical prohibition concerning the wearing of gold, pearls and other forms of jewelry.
- Moral purity.
- 2 Corinthians 7:1 (KJV): Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
